Just thought I'd post some more pictures.
This is the base of the glacier we walked on a few days ago:
And here's a shot from the glacier, of the lake at the base of the glacier.
We took this photo today while leaving Geiranger. This is the Geirangerfjord (where we kayaked) and the village of Geiranger:
This is a lake at about 1000 meters above sea level. This lake is on the route leaving Geiranger, after zig-zagging up a mountain to reach 1000 meters of elevation:

Nigardsbreen Glacier and Geiranger
This will have to be quick since we're "borrowing" internet access from a hotel across the road...
We walked on a glacier a couple of days ago, it was exhausting and fun.
Today, we kayaked in the Geirangerfjord for 4 hours and saw the 7 sisters falls, and some small whales, a bunch of fish, and other things. Really nice experience and fun and exhausting too. And the 2 hour hike was tiring too, but we're taking it easy also for Chris. We're getting lots of naps in. Here are more pics:
Tomorrow we have a 6 hour drive to Trondheim. I'm sure it will be as scenic as all the other drives so far!
Good night!

Day 4 – Bergen
Today we're in Bergen. We set off in the morning to explore Bryggen, a series of old wooden buildings in one of Bergen's ports. Now the buildings are used mostly as shops. We found a local artist's studio, and Chris fell in love (with the studio).

Next we went for a little hike up Fløyen, one of the mountains around Bergen. We didn't reach the top since it started to rain, but it was a nice walk.
Part of Fløyen
After the hike we went to the fish market and ate an open shrimp sandwich. It was good.
Shrimp sandwich anyone?

Day 3 – Oslo to Bergen
Today we did a 12 hour tour from Oslo to Bergen, and man was it tiring! It was a very scenic tour, despite the grey weather. We had some fun, went down the steepest road in Norway, and even saw a crazy lady singing in by the waterfall! (we'll have to explain more when we see you ;)
For those of you who haven't seen me in a while, this is what a 5 month pregnant Chris looks like!
One of the many waterfalls in the Naeroyfjord.

Oslo-Day 2
Another beautiful day in Norway (despite the bout of morning sickness this morning). We headed off first to the Viking Ship museum, which had 3 old ships that were kept pretty intact in blue clay. The carvings on the boat were pretty detailed.
Then it was off to the Vigeland sculpture park. It's a large park that has many of Gustav Vigeland's sculptures, which are amazing. They're a mix of stylised naked people in maniériste poses. The most spectacular is the big monolith with lots of different people all holding each other in different ways, it's really beautiful.
Tomorrow we're off on a long train/boat/bus tour to our next destination: Bergen.

Oslo - Jet Lag - Booooo!
Chris is sleeping right now, and I'm pretty tired. I think Chris got a bit of sleep on our last 2 flights, but I didn't get any at all. Because of that, we both napped this afternoon for a couple of hours.
Oslo is a nice city, lots of old buildings, kinda reminds us both of Amsterdam, Paris, and Nice, but there isn't much of what we want to do in Norway here. (No scenic fjords to kayak on, no glaciers to walk on, no trolls to catch...)
I think this is building No. 8:
This is part of the Oslo Opera House:
Here's Chris in the park around the Royal Palace:
We found some ducks in the pond (in the background of previous image):
Tomorrow, we're going to the Viking Ship Museum and spending some time in the Vigeland Sculpture Park.
